As a High Honors Journalism Major at NYU, Gabriella traveled back to her roots in Cuba to complete her Senior Thesis. Following two young musicians in the urban music scene of Havana, she documents the social, political, and economic hardship these young men face under a communist regime and a future of uncertainty.
This film explores our most simple human instinct: to dream. But what does it mean to dream in a place that denies you that freedom? When dreaming itself feels like an act of defiance?
En La Habana También Soñamos is a story of friendship, of music, and of hope. Hope, that even in a world that tries to rid you of it, you can continue to find a way to keep those dreams alive.

Gabriella produced this film alongside writer/directors sibling duo Maggie and Tyler Brown, united by a shared vision to capture the rare intimacy of connection in its most fleeting form. Together, they brought to life a story that feels both timeless and unmistakably of this generation.
